THE HONING STONE offers a variety of assessment tools to identify strengths and growth opportunities. As an Authorized Partner for Everything DiSC® and The Five Behaviors® we can facilitate individual and team development to increase communications and overall performance.

We offer individual as well as team coaching in Leadership, Communications, Emotional Intelligence, and Transitions.

Coaching


We all have goals we want to reach, challenges we’re striving to overcome, and times when we feel stuck. Partnering with a coach can improve your outlook on work and life, while improving your leadership and influence skills, setting you on a path to greater personal and professional fulfillment.

The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity, and leadership.

Team and Individual Coaching options are available.


Team Coaching

Teams are groups of interdependent members who bring different skills together to accomplish a common goal. A foundation of teamwork is trust, the ability of team members to rely on other members who share the same goal.  Team members must be accountable to each other and have the ability to communicate. THE HONING STONE has a variety of tools to help teams come together for projects or to re-baseline expectations and improve team performance.


Individual Coaching

Coaching is like having a personal fitness trainer for your professional life. We have the tools and exercises to help you tap into your strengths and reach your goals, but it is up to you to do the work.

ASSESSMENTS

Everything DiSC® is a personal development learning experience that measures an individual’s preferences and tendencies based on the DiSC® model. This simple yet powerful model describes four basic styles: D (dominance), i (influence), S (steadiness), and C (conscientiousness).

Everyone is a blend of all four DiSC®  styles — but usually one, two, or even three styles stand out. Unlike many personality tests, there is no perfect result or DiSC®  style. Each person has a unique behavioral profile with different styles and priorities—no one style better or worse than the next. We believe that these differences in style can be extremely valuable. Once you assess these differences and harness their value, better workplace communication AND healthier organizations become possible.

Leadership Practices Inventory® Trained Coach

Based on the bestselling book The Leadership Challenge ®by Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner, the Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI) is an assessment that measures the demonstrated frequency of the thirty behaviors that fall under The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership®.  Over five million people have taken the LPI as part of their own leadership journey. 

The LPI®

The LPI is an individual self-assessment can help people develop their leadership skills as they consider more responsibility in their lives or in the workplace.  After completing the assessment, I will debrief you on your results, and work with you through the coaching process to develop your leadership skills.

The LPI-360®

The LPI-360 is the most widely used 360-assessment tool in use today.  Over five million participants having taken the assessment.  The LPI-360® illuminates the effectiveness of individual leaders in how they see themselves and how others see them.  The tool provides insights into the commitment, engagement and satisfaction of those who follow individual leaders.  When multiple leaders use the LPI-360, the group report can provide powerful insights into the strengths and development opportunities for the organization. 

After taking the LPI self-assessment, or LPI-360 I will debrief you on your results.  Next, we work together as your coach, and individual leaders to gain the most benefit from your LPI experience. We can chart a path to increase your leadership knowledge, identify opportunities to increase your effectiveness, then bring powerful resources and practices together to benefit those around you.
